I grew up with my mom making healthy recipes and waking up in the morning to do Pilates before the seven kids woke up. My mom loves making nutritious dishes and healthy alternatives to traditional dishes. This brownie recipe is my favorite one of her recipes! I posted it on Instagram, and it was a hit! I make it all the time. I received DMs of ladies trying this recipe at home and loving the healthy chocolate brownies.

My husband and I have started cooking together again. I’m having so much fun making family meals together.

Ingredients

You’ll need a medium banana for sweetness and texture, baking powder, vanilla extract, unsweetened cacao, an egg, oat flour, coconut sugar, and walnuts. I usually use Swerve for the sugar, but lately, I’ve loved coconut sugar. You can leave out the walnuts and use almond flour for this recipe.

Instructions

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and microwave for 3 minutes. The melted white chocolate to make the spider web is optional! I thought it would be fun for Halloween. I was inspired by Pinterest and had been saving all the delightful Halloween treats.

Why I love it

The brownie tastes like a regular brownie with a slightly different texture. It satisfies my chocolate craving without the high calories and with simple ingredients. Oats have more nutritional value, keep me feeling full, and give me energy! I have been sharing my postpartum weight loss journey. I had significant stress and weight gain in the last trimester. Eating nutrient-rich food high in fiber has played an essential role in staying healthy.

These healthy chocolate brownies are so easy to make. You can’t beat 3-minute yummy desserts kids will also love.
