Want mermaid lengths? Let’s get started understanding the names for each hair length so you can track your progress. Keep a monthly photo album for days you feel your hair isn’t growing fast enough. The hair length chart will be a guide to track your hair growth progress.

How fast does hair grow

On average, our hair grows ½ inch per month: this is important to understand because you need to avoid frequent trimming, or you will take much longer to reach the next hair length. You need to cut your hair as needed instead of on a 3 month schedule.

Tips for tracking

Try tracking the first day of the month or the last day of the month. Wear the same outfit in each photo and use a simple background like a blank wall. Always use the same distance away from your back.

Use a journal or phone and write down your measurements in inches or centimeters each month, along with your photo. I find it easiest to measure from the start of my hairline and use a tape measurer. I prefer to write measurements down along with photos to track progress because it gives me measurable results.

Law of Attraction

Every day try saying one to three things you love about your hair. Don’t have any? Find at least one thing <3. Have a picture of your goal length to help you visualize the goal. Don’t focus on what you don’t like about your hair. We can’t get more of what we want when we put energy into things we don’t want. Law of attraction is real, see this account I love.
